Mahatma Gandhiji’s 150th birth anniversary was celebrated and NSS Programme “Flag Run on Fit India” conducted on 2nd October, 2019 at 9:45 AM in College of Food Science & Technology, Rudrur. Dr. R. Swamy, Associate Dean, Mrs. Prashanthi , Asst. Professor (OSA) , Er. G. Rajender, Asst. Professor NSS officer, other faculty members, Non-Teaching, Outsourcing staff and Students participated in the programme. All participants paid homage to the great leader by offering floral tributes. Associate Dean Addressed the students about Gandhian philosophy and his principles in getting freedom from British rule. He also stressed about importance of discipline and punctuality in students life to become a good citizen of this country. Er. G. Rajender, NSS officer spoke about how Gandhi shown to entire world about Importance of non violence path and truth. He also addressed the students about Importance of fitness and health to lead a happy and healthy life. Mrs. Sowjanya, Asst. Professor expressed the role of Bapuji in the independence movement. Later on Students and all faculty members actively participated in 2K run programme. During this 2K Run programme, students raised the slogan about role of fitness, health and cleanliness of our surroundings to make this country towards healthier future.
