2nd REAC Meeting on 23-07-2022 at University Auditorium, PJTSAU, Hyderabad. The Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University 2nd Research and Extension Advisory Council Meeting was held here on 22-07-2022 under the chairmanship of Dr. V Praveen Rao, Vice Chancellor, PJTSAU. Dr R Jagadeeshwar, Director of Research, PJTSAU had presented the Research highlights & action taken report of the university. He presented the university awards and accomplishments received from various institutions in research activities from 1st REAC meeting onwards. Dr Sudharani, Director of Extension, PJTSAU has presented the Extension highlights of the university. Several farmers who are the REAC members also spoke on the occasion and made several suggestions in research and extension activities to be taken up in the university. Hanumant K. Zandage, special commissioner, Dept. of Agriculture, Govt. of Telangana, has also spoken on the occasion and he suggested the scientists to evolve & prepare the cropping systems according to the changing climate conditions. And he advised the agricultural scientists to put efforts to develop the crops for ensuring nutritional security. Dr. V Praveen Rao, has delivered the presidential remarks. Speaking at the advisory council meeting Dr Rao had said that the research programs of the university have to be planned according to the food needs of the consumers and other stakeholders. He made a suggestion that the multi disciplinary approach will enable sustainable agriculture development and sustainable food systems. He further advised the scientists to initiate the research & demonstration on rice - fish cultivation, which is very much suitable for telangana area. Several farmers, Eruvaka centers & Krishi Vignana Kendra, coordinators, seed companies representatives participated in the meeting.

Academic Block Building Inaugurated
The newly constructed Academic block building was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor, Dr. V. Praveen Rao near the Agricultural college at Rajendranagar, in the evening. Several students, faculty and University Officers were attended the program.
