31st National Road Safety Week at Agricultural College, Sircilla on 01-02-2020

With the great perspective in acknowledging the importance of Road Safety, in line with the observance of 31st National Road Safety Week, NSS team organized a programme on the theme "Bringing Change Through Youth" at Agricultural College, Sircilla on 01st February, 2020. NSS Programme Officer, Dr. R. Sathish welcomed the gathering. Mr. P. Chandrashekar, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Sircilla was the chief guest of the programme. In his address he emphasized on the importance of following the traffic rules and educated students on road safety measures and the purpose of white and yellow lines on the road. He advised the youngsters to avoid rash driving and overtaking in turnings etc by taking real life situations. Mr. Venkata Narsaiah, Circle Inspector (CI), Sircilla explained causes and consequences of road traffic crashes, legislation related to traffic accidents and understanding Traffic Control Devices (TrafficSignals, Road Signs and Road Marking) etc. Pamphlets on road safety were distributed to make the students know more about Road safety in detail. The programme was attended by the In-charge Associate Dean, teaching faculty and all the students including out-sourced personnel and made it a grand success.
