71st Republic day celebrations at Agricultural College, Palem on 26-01-2020

The 71st Republic day celebrations were celebrated at Agricultural college, Palem on 26-01-2020 in a befitting way. The celebrations were started with paying floral tributes to freedom fighters by Associate Dean, staff and students. Mr. E. Sathyanarayana, Asst. Professor & OISA briefed the gathering about the importance of day and shared important events in the history of freedom struggle and celebration of republic day. Later Associate Dean, Dr. P. Raghu Rami Reddy unfurled the National Flag. This was accompanied by the rendition of National Anthem led by the college’s students and staff. After National anthem, Associate Dean addressed the gathering. In his address, he mentioned briefly about the sacrifices of the freedom fighters for bringing freedom to the nation. He gave three most important messages. "Students should understand their roles and responsibilities and act according to their responsibilities. He pointed out that the students should feel proud to be 'Indians' and being a citizen of a largest Democratic country, all should participate in voting which is fundamental rights of every citizen. Being educated society, we should maintain discipline at all the place and all the time ". He also urged the students to follow foot prints of great leader and use the natural resources wisely. Later E. Sathyanarayana thanked all the members for participating in the programme. The programmme ended up with distribution of snacks to the students.
