Agricultural Research Station (ARS), Adilabad has conducted one day Pre-Seasonal training programme on 19.07.2019 under provision of ICAR-Central Institute for Cotton Research (CICR), Nagpur associated project i.e., IRM project “Dissemination of pink bollworm management strategies” in Cotton at Ponnari Village of Tamsi Mandal, Adilabad district. In this programme awareness was created to the farmers mainly on how to reduce pink bollworm incidence in Cotton. Besides this, created awareness on seasonal pest & disease infestation in Cotton, Soybean & Redgram and drought mitigation strategies. During the meeting, technical issues were discussed on sucking pests, fertilizer management, weed management in Cotton; stem fly & stem girdler management in Soybean and Nutrient management in Redgram. In this programme, Scientists of ARS, Adilabad Dr. Sreedhar Chauhan, Sri K. Rajashekar, Dr. D. Mohan Das & Scientists of KVK, Adilabad Dr. Y. Praveen Kumar and Scientists of DAATTC, Adilabad Dr. Sampath Kumar, SMS (Ext.); Mandal Agricultural Officer (MAO), Tamsi Sri A. Ravinder & concerned AEOs, besides village public representative like Sarpanch, Sub-Sarpanch, MPTC, RSS Chairman, PACS Chairman. Nearly 50 farmers have been participated.
