SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY COMMITTEE (SAC) MEETING AT KVK, RUDRUR on 08-03-2019

Scientific advisory committee (SAC) meeting for Kharif and Rabi 2019-20 was held at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Rudrur on 08.03.2019 at 10.30 AM under the chairmanship of Dr. Y. G. Prasad, Director, ICAR – ATARI, Zone-X, Hyderabad in the presence of Dr. R. Uma Reddy, Associate Director of Research, Regional Agricultural Research Station, Polasa, Jagtial, Dr. M. Venkataiah, Principal Scientist (Entomology) and Head, Regional Sugarcane and Rice Research Station, Rudrur, Dr. RVT. Balazzii Naaiik, Programme coordinator, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Rudrur, Dr. B. Dr. Y. G. Prasad, Director, ICAR – ATARI, Zone-X, Hyderabad in his address advocated the scientists to disseminate the scientific technology on location specific and demand driven problems and also to use ICT for effective communication. He also suggested to find the ways and means for doubling the farmers income to educate the farmers on seed production, micro irrigation and Integrated Farming Systems approach.

Dr. R. Uma Reddy, ADR, oriented the participants about the meeting ,as the farmers can discuss their problems and suggestions with the Scientists, Agriculture and allied department officials and the possible solutions will be given for upliftment of the farmer’s income.

Dr. RVT. Balazzii Naiikk, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Rudrur introduced the members of scientific advisory committee and presented a detailed report about the KVK followed by the work done report of the year 2018-19 and action plan of work for 2019-20 and also presented the extension activities to be taken during 2019-20, demo units to be established through which doubling the farmers income can be achieved.
