GERMAN DELEGATION VISIT TO PJTSAU ON 26-03-2019

Mr. Michael Stubgen, Parliament State Secretary(Ministry of State), German Federal Ministry of Food & Agriculture (BMEL) along with his team visited PJTSAU on 26th March 2019. The team of German delegation had held the interactive meeting with Vice Chancellor Dr. V Praveen Rao, Registrar, Dr. S Sudheer Kumar and other University Officers at the robing hall in University Auditorium. The high level delegation Germany was welcomed by the VC, PJTSAU and other University Officers. In view of the Germany team visit an Exhibition was organised in the premises of Auditorium by showcasing of the University Teaching, Research and Extension activities, accomplishments and achievements. After watching the exhibition the team later interacted with the VC and other University Officers. VC explained about university teaching, research and extension activities. VC told the delegation university is striving hard to serve the farming community in the state for their development. Due to the efforts put by the university visible impact was achieved in the state in enhancing of productivity levels in several crops he said. He further added that, in last 4years university has formulated the strategies and efforts to address the major challenges in the state. Through which in rice crop last year productivity levels were gone from the 2.9 tons to 3.8 tons said the VC. The German parliament state secretary was appreciated efforts of VC for achieving the good results in a short span of time. German delegation shown interest to work together through indo - German project. the Registrar, PJTSAU and other university officers and plant breeding scientists were attended the interactive meeting.
