Anti Terrorism Day at Agricultural College, Jagtial on 21-05-2020

The Agricultural College, Jagtial observed Anti Terrorism Day on 21.05.2020 to create awareness on terrorism. The programme was initiated by introducing the importance of programme by Dr. K. Chandra Shaker, Assistant Professor & Officer In-charge Students Activities. Dr. C. Narendra Reddy, Associate Dean, Agricultural College, Jagtial stressed the importance of peace, humanity, unity and harmony among the people and to make them aware of the anti-social acts of terrorism. He also said about the nations suffered due to terrorism and measures to be taken against terrorism and eradicate it from society. Later oath was taken by the participants of Agricultural College, Jagtial and Sri. A. Umarajasekhar, Assistant Professor & NSS Programme Officer, Agricultural College, Jagtial took the Lead. The pledge was - “We, the people of India, having abiding faith in our country’s tradition of non-violence and tolerance, hereby solemnly affirm to oppose with strength all forms of terrorism and violence. We pledge to uphold and promote peace, social harmony, and understanding among all fellow human beings and fight the forces of disruption threatening human lives and values”. The programme ended with the vote of thanks by Dr. T. Srikanth, Assistant Professor & NSS Programme Officer. All the Teaching and Non teaching staff of the institute participated.
