Awareness Programme on “Agricultural Marketing Infrastructure Scheme” Conducted at KVK, Palem on 17-03-2020

KVK, Palem organized one day “Awareness Programme on Agricultural Marketing Infrastructure Scheme (AMIS)” with the financial assistance of CCS National Institute of Agricultural Marketing (NIAM), India on 17.03.2020. The objective of the programme was to create awareness among the farmers regarding different available schemes of the government on Agricultural Marketing and Infrastructure. Mr. B. Rajashekhar, SMS (Extension) & In-charge of the programme invited the dignitaries on to the dais. Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Palem explained about main objectives of the Agriculture Marketing Infrastructure Scheme and problems faced by the farmers in marketing agriculture produce and importance of marketing in getting better price in present scenario. Chief Guest Smt. Sharada, Secretary, AMC, Nagarkurnool made a detailed PowerPoint presentation on operational guidelines of the agriculture marketing infrastructure. She urged all the participants to avail the benefits of the scheme. She also highlighted the functioning of e-NAM and the procedures to be followed in order to avail subsidy under the scheme. Dr. Sheshanna, Project Manager, DRDA-FPC, Narayanpet briefed about the activities of Farmer Producer Company, Narayanpet. A total of 73 No. farmers, including FPO members, DEOs of AMC, Nagarkurnool and stakeholders participated in the Programme. All the Scientists of KVK also involved in the programme. Finally, farmers feedback was taken and programme was concluded with vote of thanks.
