ARS, Tandur, PJTSAU organized Celebrations of 89th Birth Anniversary of Professor Kothapalli Jayashankar on 6-8-2022

On the occasion of Telangana Ideologue Sri.Kothapalli Jayashankar’s 89th Jayanthi his Birth anniversary was celebrated at Agricultural Research station, Tandur, PJTSAU on 06-08-2022 under the Chairmanship of Dr. C. Sudha Rani, Principal Scientist (Agronomy) & Head. The staff members viz., Dr. K. Sujatha, Scientist (Br.), Sri.K. Shekar, Scientist (Agron.), Sri. T. Rajeshwar Reddy, Scientist (Path.) Smt. C. Manikya Minnie, Scientist (Br.), Dr. S. Sandeep, Scientist (Br.), Smt. C. Yamuna, Scientist (Crop Protection), Sri. Harish Chander, AEO, Sri Ramesh Chandrudu, AEO, Sri K Somla, Field Supervisor and time scale workers were participated in the celebrations. Dr. C. Sudha Rani, Principal Scientist (Agronomy) & Head offered floral tribute to Professor Jayashankar and remembered Professor Jayashankar, as an intellectual who dreamed about separate state of Telangana and thereafter its development and conveyed that PJTSAU was named in honour and memory of Professor Jayashankar garu. She has appreciated the breeders involved in the release of sorghum variety, Tandur Jonna 1 and Redgram variety, Telangana Kandi 3. She encouraged the staff to continue this team work and achieve many more success in the days to come.
