Celebrations of World Women's Day at Agricultural College, Sircilla

The world women’s day was celebrated at Agricultural College, Sircilla on 7th March, 2020 (8th being Sunday) by all the teaching Non-teaching staff and students under NSS component to recognize the contributions of women in different dimensions of human development in the present world. The Associate Dean while speaking on the occasion congratulated all the women staff and girl students as they are considered as building blocks for the developing India not only in the field of Agriculture but all the spheres of development. Their untired services and efforts towards the development of the new Agricultural College, Sircilla. On this occasion different cultural and literary competitions were conducted for the women staff and students by the NSS officer, OISA and Out-sourcing personnel in-charge. The different events like debating on ‘The role of women in Agriculture in 21st century’ and competitions i.e., ball in the glass, balloon bursting, thread in the needle, coins on pencil were conducted. An extempore presentations was also conducted for women staff and girl students on different topics directly or indirectly contribute for the improvement of academics of the college. The first and second winners have been selected among the participants and the prizes will be given to them shortly in a separate programme. All the staff members and students including Out-sourced personnel have participated and enjoyed the programme. The women staff and students expressed their happiness as they are being recognized equally with gents in the society and making them important partners for the future India. They have further opined and decided to render their services more fruitfully in future and make the new college one among the best in Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University. The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by the Officer in-charge Students Activities.
