College of Food Science and Technology, Rudrur NSS Special Camp on 08-12-2019 at Ambam Village

College of Food Science and Technology, Rudrur, Nizamabad has started NSS special camp at Ambam village, Rudrur on 8/12/2019. As a part of this, people representatives, Sarpanch, Vice MPP, AMC Chairman and others of Rudrur mandal were present. They were accompanied by Dr. R. Swamy, Associate Dean, CFST, Rudrur, NSS Officer G. Rajender, teaching & non- teaching faculty, students and other local villagers. After lightening the lamp G. Rajender, NSS Officer has explained the perspective of selection of village (Ambam) for NSS special camp and also conveyed the importance of NSS camp. He also suggested that the symbol of NSS indicates change in the society in the path of development. The 7 day NSS programme comprises of Swachh Bharat, Plantation, Mega Health Camp, Demonstration on Food Technologies and Awareness on Food Nutrition, Veterinary camp and Scientist- Farmers interaction session on Fish Farming Practices, Scientist- Farmers interaction session (Soil Health Management, Popularisation of university developed rice, soybean, maize varieties etc., Farm Mechanisation) and Valedictory ceremony. Dr. R. Swamy, Associate Dean of College of Food Science and Technology, Rudrur shared the happiness of starting NSS programme and advised students to “PAY BACK TO SOCIETY” by conducting such camps. Also advised the students to be disciplined throughout the programme and gain a different exposure at village level. On behalf of CFST, Rudrur promise was given to villagers to bring a identifiable change. People representatives were happy for conduction of NSS Camp and promised to extend their support throughout the programme. T. V. N. Padmavati, Assistant Professor, College of Food Science and Technology, Rudrur said that the students were very enthusiastic in participating in this camp. The camp will be successful if there is interaction between students and villagers. First day of camp was successful by swachh bharat at panchayat raj old and new buildings, cleaning of roads and plantation at Ambam village.
