Celebration of Curtain raiser of “International year of Millets 2023”at Post Graduate and Research Center, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad on 17-09-2021

College of Community Science and Millet Processing and Incubation center conducted curtain raiser of International year of millets 2023 on 17th September 2021 at Post Graduate and Research Center, PJTSAU, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. Sri Narendra Singh Tomer, Union minster, Agricultural and Farmers welfare, unveiled the curtain of International year of millets 2023 in virtual mode. Where in 87 girls and 116 farmers attended the programme. Dr. S. Sudheer Kumar, Registrar, PJTSAU inaugurated the plantation session of the programme. Dr. D. Ratna Kumari, Dean Faculty of Community Science addressed the farmers and girl students. Dr. J. Satyanarayana, Dean of Students Affairs and Dr. Padmini, Director of Polytechnics also graced the occasion. Plantation of nutritious plants and seed for nutritional Kitchen gardening were distributed to the farmers. They were also enlighten on nutritcereals and their role on human health and role of plantation on sustainable agriculture and rural livelihood. The farmers and students were provided healthy nutritious millet based refreshments and lunch in order to make them aware about innovation in millet consumption. Faculty of PJTSAU, Community science, MPIC and students also participated in the programme.
