EEI,Hyderabad Celebrates National Girl Child Day on 24-01-2022

As a part of the webinar, a talk on National Girl Child Day 2o22 – Significance and Way forward was delivered by Dr. K. Mayuri, Retd. Professor of Human Development and Family Studies, and competitions in three categories namely Painting, Poem and Selfie with Parents with a brief write up were organized to girl children of client states and UTs under EEI, Hyderabad. Almost 50 entries were received which were screened and three winners were adjudged in each category for awarding prizes. Each category had a first prize carrying a cash award of Rs. 1000 and a certificate, the second prize had a cash award of Rs.600 and a certificate while third prize of Rs. 300 and a certificate. A total of 9 winners were chosen amongst the received entries and certificates were flashed online for applause. The webinar was conducted in response to the call given by Ministry of Agriculture, National Gender Research Centre, Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, New Delhi and was coordinated by Dr. M. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Director, EEI and Dr. M. Preethi, Professor, EEI. The webinar was attended by 60 participants comprising of officials Dr. V. Sudha Rani, Director of Extension, PJTSAU, Shri. Manish Bhatia, Director, Administration and Dr. Punam Tiwari Sharma, Joint Director (WP), National Gender Resource Centre in Agriculture, MoA, AC&FW, New Delhi, Dr. M. Sanjay Khalikar, Joint Director (Extension), MoA&FW, GoI, faculty, staff and students of PJTSAU and EEI, Hyderabad, girl children and their parents from all client states (Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Odisha) and UTs (Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and Puducherry), and schools from Telangana.
