Exposure visit of adopted village, Veldurthi Govt. Upper Primary School children to RARS, Polasa, Jagtial on 18-11-2021

  • Exposure visit was conducted to adopted village, Veldurthi Govt. Upper Primary School children to RARS, Polasa, Jagtial on 18.11.2021.
  • The programme was organized by Smt. D.A. Rajini Devi, In-charge of adopted village and she briefed and showcased (audio-visual aids) the research station activities to school children.
  • Dr. M. Uma Devi, Associate Director of Research, RARS, Jagtial enlighten the students regarding the importance of agriculture in India and she also stressed about the role of agricultural education at young age which helps children to get perspective on their lives.
  • P. Ravi, Scientist (Soil science & Agril. Chemistry) created awareness on farm machinery, D. Padmaja, Scientist (Plant Breeding) explained about the nutritional benefits of value-added sesame, Dr. N. Blaram, Scientist (Plant Pathology) showcased pathology laboratory, N. Navatha explained about AGROMET scheme activities, Dr. K. B. Suneetha, Sr.Professor explained about various instruments in agronomy laboratory and water saving technologies, Polyhouse, Dr. V. Ratnakar, Asst. Professor (Entomology) enlighten the students regarding sericulture unit at Ag. College, Jagtial.
  • Later, ADR, RARS, Jagtial supported the school for improving the facilities at adopted village, Veldurthi and as part of this, contributed Rs. 10,000/- personally by her own interest to E. Munider, Head Master, Govt. Upper Primary School for upgrading school toilet facilities.
  • In this programme, D.A. Rajini Devi, Scientist (Ag. Economics), Dr. K. B. Suneetha, Sr. Professor (Agronomy), Dr. P. Ravi, Scientist (Soil Science & Agril Chemistry), Dr. D. Padmaja, Scientist (Plant Breeding), N. Navatha, Scientist (Agronomy), Dr.  V. Ratnakar, Asst. Professor (Entomology), Dr. K. Chandra Shekar, Asst. Professor, (Soil Science & Agril Chemistry), Raheem, Agril. Extension Officer, E. Munider, Head Master, Govt. Upper Primary School, G. Laxman Kumar, Teacher, V. Lalitha Rani, Teacher, M. Munider, Teacher and Farzana, Teacher, Veldurthi and 51 school children were participated.
