Field Day on Cultivation of Ragi and Value Addition at Agriculture Polytechnic, Tornala on 05-11-2019

Field day on “Cultivation of Ragi and Value Addition to Products” was conducted at Agriculture Polytechnic, Tornala on 05-11-2019. Ragi crop was raised by the Second year Diploma students as a part of PAMP. Dr. S. Sridevi , Principal explained about the suitability of the crop for the region, various agronomic, interventions required for cultivation of the crop. Mr. A. Sathish and M. Saicharan, Assistant Professors informed farmers about the fertilizer and pest management aspects of the crops. Dr. A. V. Ramanjaneyulu, Senior Scientist & Head along with scientists Dr. N. Sainath, D. Sravanthi from ARS, Tornala also took part in the programme. All the Second year Diploma students and about 25 farmers from Bussapur village attended the programme.
