Guest Lecture on “Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture” organized by Placement Cell College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar in Virtual classroom on 25.3.2023

A guest lecture on “Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture” was organized by the Placement Cell, CAR’ Nagar on 25.3.2023at 2.30 PM in the Virtual Classroom, College of Agriculture Rajendranagar. At the outset, the Placement In-charge, Dr.K.Bhanu Rekha invited the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr.Jella Satyanarayana and the guest speaker Dr.Bipul Saha, Dean, Food and Agri-Business School (FABS), Sagar Group of Institutions (SGI), Chevella on to the dias. It was followed by a brief welcome address by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr.Jella Satyanarayana, Around 105 students from the College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar from the B.Sc (Hons). IV year (AELP), M.Sc and Ph.D scholars from different departments attended the lecture offline and around 150 participants joined online on Cisco Webex Platform from the sub-campuses (Agricultural Colleges viz;, Aswaropeta, Jagtial, Palem, Warangal, Sircilla, Agril Engineering College, Sangareddy and Food Science, Rudrur) with a grand total of about 255 participants. The guest speaker Dr.Bipul Saha gave an insight into the Artificial intelligence (AI), applications with live videos on use of different Agribots for various operations (sowing to harvest)in Agriculture apart from applications of AI in the fields of horticulture and Animal husbandry. It was followed by lively interaction session. The programme ended with vote of thanks presented by the Placement In-charge, Dr.K.Bhanu Rekha. The Dean of Student Affairs Dr.Jella Satyanarayana, Placement Incharge, Dr.K.Bhanu Rekha, Add. Placement Incharge, Dr.P. Rajinikanth and teaching staff from College of Agriculture Rajendranagar attended the guest lecture offline.
