Health camp, Blood donation camp and rally on Parthenium eradication at Gangadevipally, Geesukonda mandal, Warangal (R)

Mega free health camp was organized on the fourth day at Gangadevipally village, by the NSS unit of Agricultural college, Warangal in coordination with various hospitals viz., Lalitha multi speciality hospital, Sreenivasa nursing home and vijaya dental hospital of Warangal city. 260 villagers were benefitted with free diagnosis tests, consultation and free medicine. Mr. Gone Mallareddy, Village sarpanch, Mr. Police Dharmarao, ZPTC, Geesukonda and Dr. D. Maheshwar, MS (Ortho) formally inaugurated the event. Fifty four NSS volunteers involved to guide old and other patients, extended their help in registration and medicine distribution. Villagers, sarpanch and ZPTC appreciated the involvement of NSS volunteers in the camp. NSS volunteers later participated in blood donation event and donated nine units of blood to Indian Red cross society, Hanmakonda. NSS volunteers in the afternoon took out a rally on Parthenium eradication and insisted villagers to remove parthenium plants completely rather than just cutting them at the base.
