KVK, Bellampalli organized Audio Conference on Integrated Crop Management in Cotton in collaboration with Reliance Foundation on 14-09-2021

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli, Mancherial District has organized an Audio Conference on Integrated Crop Management in Cotton in collaboration with Reliance foundation on 14th September, 2021. Dr. M. Rajeshwar Naik, Senior Scientist & Head (Programme Coordinator) has addressed the farmers about the nutrient management and management of different pest and disease management in cotton. Further, he educated the farmers regarding different strategies to be followed in the reduction of excess use of fertilizers. Dr.Shivakrishna Kota, SMS (Agril. Extension) explained the importance of farmer’s producer organisations in modern agriculture and added information on different activities done by the KVK, Bellampalli to educate the farmers towards formation of the FPO’s. Sri. A. Nagaraju, SMS (Plant Protection) explained about the IPM practices for the management of Pink Boll Worm in Bt Cotton and he further cleared the farmer’s queries regarding pest-disease management. Dr. I. Thirupathi, SMS (Crop Production) explained about the different management practices in the major field crops of both Kumrumbheem Asifabad and Mancherial district under present heavy rainfall situations. Smt. U. Sravanthi, SMS (Horticulture) explained about different management practices to be followed in vegetable crops under present situations. Dr. B. Sathish Kumar SMS (Agrometeorology) addressed the farmers about present rainfall status and rainfall forecast for the next 5 days in the aspirational district of Kumrumbheem Asifabad and Mancherial.A total of 35 numbers of farmers were participated from Asifabad mandal (Ada, Maniguda, Indhapur, Dampur, Chirrakunta, Thumapalli); Dahegaon mandal (Odduguda, Konchavelli villages); Rebbena mandal of K.B Asifabad District.
