KVK, Bellampalli organized a training programme to the Agril. Extension Functionaries (M.A.Os and A.E.Os) of Mancherial District under TSP on Horticulture based Integrated Farming Systems& Effect of Weather and it's Influence on the Incidence of Insect Pests and Diseases in Major Crops of the District on 16th November, 2021. During the programme, Dr. M. RajeshwarNaik, Programme Coordinator & team of KVK, Bellampalli along withAgril. Extension Functionaries visited all the following demonstration plots at Instructional Farm of KVK, Bellampalli.
- Demo unit on Urban Kitchen Gardening
- Redgram + Greengram Inter cropping
- Demo on Fodder Crops
- Crop Cafeteria
- Sorghum and Redgram Inter cropping
- Vegetable crops (Bhendi and Vegetable Cowpea)
- Permanent Pandal Farming (Ridge Gourd, Bitter gourd and bottle gourd)
- Vegetables and Marigold cultivation under micro irrigation.
- Portray Nursery under Shadenet
- Direct seeded rice with Drum seeder and seed drill
- Demo units on Fodder crops
- Seed production fields of Red gram and Sunhemp
- Mango orchard
- Soap nut orchard
- Jamun orchard
- Aqua farm pond
Later Dr. M. RajeshwarNaik, KVK, Bellampalli created awareness to the Agril. Extension Functionaries on Crop Diversification during the ensuing yasangi rice. Later Sri. NagarajuAlugoju, SMS (Plant Protection) conducted a training programme on Effect of Weather and it's Influence on the Incidence of Insect Pests and Diseases in Major Crops of the District. Further, Smt. U. Sravanthi, SMS (Horticulture) also conducted a training programme on Horticulture based Integrated Farming Systems. Sri. A. Vinod Kumar, District Agricultural Officer, Mancherial district addressed the Agril. Extension Functionaries to utilize the Suggestions of the Scientists of KVK, Bellampalli to address the farming issues at farm level. KVK Scientists Participated in this programme Dr. K.
