KVK, Bellampalli Organized You Tube Live on Integrated Crop Management in Soybean in Collaboration with Reliance Foundation on 28-07-2021

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli, Mancherial District has organized YouTube Live on Integrated Crop Management in Soybean in a collaboration with Reliance foundation on 28th July, 2021. A total of 87 numbers of farmers were participated from different villages of Mancherial and Kumrumbheem Asifabad (Aspirational) Districts and clarified the doubts with the experts of KVK, Bellampalli. In the training programme, Dr. M. Rajeshwar Naik, Senior Scientist & Head (Programme Coordinator) has addressed the farmers about the importance of soybean nutritional values, necessity of incorporation of pulse crops in cropping pattern to enrich the soil by nitrogen fixation and different management practices to improve the yield of soybean. He also rectified the doubts of farmers regarding different pest infestations and their management practices. Further, Dr. Shiva Krishna Kota, SMS (Agril. Extension) explained the objectives of Jal Shakti Abhiyan and different methods and importance of farmer’s producer organisations in modern agriculture phenomenon. Sri. A. Nagaraju, SMS (Plant Protection) created awareness on integrated pest management of sucking pest complex in cotton and other vanakalam crops. Dr. I. Thirupathi, SMS (Crop Production) explained about different management practices in soybean as well as vanakalam crops. Dr. B. Sathish Kumar SMS (Agrometeorology) addressed the farmers about present rainfall status and rainfall forecast in the aspirational districts (Mancherial and Kumrumbheem Asifabad) and also addressed the farmers on measures to be taken during the thunder storms etc.
