Inauguration of Skill training programme on “Scientific Honeybee rearing” by Sri Anudeep Durshetty, District Collector & Magistrate at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bhadradri Kothagudem

Sri Anudeep Durshetty, IAS, District Collector & Magistrate, Bhadradri Kothagudem and Dr. R. Uma Reddy, Associate Director of Research, RARS, Warangal has inaugurated the 7 day skill training programme on “ Scientific Honey bee rearing” to be conducted by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bhadradri Kothagudem at Horticulture Farm, Garimellapadu from 15.09.2021 to 22.09.2021. Dr. V. Lakshmi Narayanamma, Programme coordinator has welcomed the dignitaries and trainees and explained about the activities and achievements of KVK. She also explained about the agenda of training programme. Dr. R. Uma Reddy, Associate Director of Research, RARS, Warangal has explained about the importance of Honeybee for pollination in the crops and opportunities in Honeybee rearing for doubling farmers income. Sri Anudeep Durshetty, IAS, District Collector & Magistrate had spoken about the changing lifestyles and increasing demand for nutritive and healthy food products among which honey takes the prime position. He also appreciated the initiative of the KVK and instructed to deliver the lectures in interactive mode with post evaluation schedules. Later, he along with all the participants has visited the live Honeybee boxes installed in the premises. Sri. K. Abhimanyudu (District Agricultural Officer), Sri J. Mariyanna (District Horticulture & Sericulture Officer), Sri K. Srinivas Rao (Lead Bank Manager) and other officers have participated in the inaugural session. Dr. R. Vishwatej, SMS(Extension) has proposed the “Vote of Thanks” for the dignitaries, participants, and media personnel. Mr. V.V.K. Murthy, PD, GVSSS has taken up the training sessions on ‘Current status of Bee Keeping- Global & National’ & ‘Nature of Bee Keeping Industry’ on first day of the training programme.
