Gandhi Jayanthi Celebrations at College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar with high spirit and reverence on 2nd October, 2021
Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Palem in collaboration with Rashtriya Chemical Fertilizers limited (RCFL) organized awareness programme on crop diversification for ensuing yasangi season on 05.10.2021 at auditorium of RARS, Palem. The programme was chaired by Dr. Sujatha, (PS-Oil seeds RARS, Palem) briefed about the mechanization and integrated crop management technologies in oil seed crops. Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, PC, KVK, Palem presented importance of irrigated dry crops and also stressed more alternate crops to Paddy like Greengram, Blackgram, Castor & Groundnut. Spoken about the market driven crops to get higher net returns to the farmers. Dr. K. Vijayalakshmi, (AD, Palem) insisted the farmers to follow the IPM practices which are ecologically & economically sustainable. Dr. Sreedhar presented importance of cost reduction technologies in yasangi crops. Mr. M. Rajashekhar (SMS-PP) presented pest & disease management in field crops, Dr. Shankar about vegetables, Mr. B. Rajashekar (SMS-Extension) on different sources of agriculture information and Mr. K. Ramakrishna (SMS-CP) about the Groundnut cultivation practices. In this programme SVS Laxmanacharyulu, G. Prasad, Ratan Naik (Members of RCFl), Scientist of KVK & RARS, Palem, 136 members of the farmers from Nagarkurnool dist were participated.
