KVK, Palem organized Pre-Kharif awareness cum training program on 09.05.2022

KVK, Palem organized Pre-Kharif awareness cum training program in newly adopted village i.e. Parvathapur village of Telkapally Mandal on 09.05.2022. In this program, Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Palem briefed about the advantages of village adoption, and various interventions taken by the KVK, Palem to the overall development of the Village. Suggested to all the farmers to cultivate the green manure crops to enhancing of soil fertility and reduction of usage of chemical fertilizers. Mr. M. Rajashekhar (SMS-PP) spoke about the importance of deep summer ploughing and various IPM practices in field & horticultural crops without harming the ecosystem. Dr. A. Shanakar (SMS-Horti) discussed best management practices in vegetables; where ever feasible follow the drip with mulching to get the higher yields. Mr. K. Ramakrishna (SMS-CP) stressed on Dry directed seed rice and integrated weed management. Dr. B. Rajashekhar (SMS-AE) spoke about the information sources and various mobiles app to get the latest information about the Agri & allied sectors. Sri. Ramesh babu (ADA, Nagarkurnool) & Sri. Sandeep Reddy (MAO-Telkapally) briefed about the various schemes initiated by the department of agriculture. In this meeting Raja mohan Reddy (Director Single vindo), Smt. Laxmamma (Sarpanch), Raju (Panchayathi secretary), Bhargav & Ramesh (AEOs), Shamalayya (RSS member), Rajender Reddy (Village representative) a total of 54 farmers have participated.
