National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP) and Artificial Insemination for Productivity: Live Webcast at KVK, Kampasagar, Nalgonda on 11-09-2019

As per instructions of ATARI-ICAR Hyderabad and Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, Hyderabad the vaccination programme was started in the presence of Hon’ble N. Narsimhaiah garu, M.L.A, Nagarjuna Sagar Constituency, the local Veterinary Assistant Surgeon with the support of compounder, the vaccination against Foot and Mouth disease (FMD) was administered to improved Murrah buffalos (4 No.) at KVK campus on 11.09.2019 at 10:30 AM. Later the VIPs, KVK Scientists, District Veterinary Officers, Agricultural RAWEP Students, Agriculture Polytechnic Students were all assembled at the venue to watch the Live webcast programme of launching National Animal Disease Control Programme and Artificial Insemination for productivity by Sri. Narendra Modi ji, Hon'ble Prime Minister of India which was displayed on LED TV arranged to viewers from 11:00 A.M to 12:30 P.M. After the completion of Live webcast programme the Prime Minister speech was translated in local Telugu language for better understanding to farmers and students. Later the actual programme was started with welcome address by Dr. M. Shankar, Scientist KVK, Kampasagar inviting the guests on to the dias. After lightening of the lamp the inaugural session was started by Dr. M.A. Aariff Khan, Programme Coordinator & Head KVK, Kampasagar, briefed about the importance of forage crops for quality fodder production. Later the District Officials of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry explained about importance of disease control measures of Foot & Mouth and Brucellosis disease management through timely vaccination. In addition, briefed about the importance of Artificial insemination for better productivity of breeds for higher milk and meat production. The public representatives delivered their valuable messages related to timely vaccination and utilization of government subsidy programmes to the gathering. The Chief Guest Sri. Hon'ble N. Narasimhaiah garu, M.L.A Nagarjuna Sagar Constituency cautioned the impact of two major diseases causing huge loss in cattle by the negligence and lack of vaccination and preventive measures. In addition the Chief Guest also briefed about impact of loss on revenue of exports of milk and meat products. Later in the interaction session, the feedback from farmers was taken and satisfied by participation in programme and enlightened about disease control measures and vaccination of Foot & Mouth and Brucellosis diseases in ruminants. After completion of programme, vote of thanks was given by Dr. T. Bharath, Scientist KVK, Kampasagar. Finally the programme was winded up successfully at 2:00 P.M.
