Online Training Programme on Cotton and Paddy Crop at Regional Agricultural Research Station , Warangal

A ‘Training on Cotton and Paddy crop’ for Retail Store Managers (RSM) and Area Marketing Managers (AMM) of Medak, Adilabad, Mancherial, erstwhile Nalgonda and erstwhile Nizamabad districts was organized by Coromandel International Limited (CIL) on 18-09-2020 from RARS, Warangal through virtual mode (Microsoft team). Dr. P. Jagan Mohan Rao, Associate Director of Research, RARS, Warangal acted as a honorary speaker and apprised the participants on present situation of Pulses, Cotton, Rice and requested the RSM’s and AMM’s to be vigilant on the present crop situations and to provide suitable suggestions to their farmer clients in their respective districts. Scientists from RARS, Warangal - Dr. B. Ram Prasad, Senior Scientist (Entomology) and Dr. S. Malathi, Principal Scientist (Entomology), acted as subject speakers on Cotton and Rice crops, respectively and delivered lectures on present situation of insect pest and diseases, and their management through power point presentations. Subsequent to presentations, queries raised by different Coromandel personnel on remedial measures for current field problems were answered. The programme focused on technical aspects, current product opportunities pertaining to cotton and paddy crops. About 120 managers of CIL from Medak, Adilabad, Mancherial, erstwhile Nalgonda and erstwhile Nizamabad districts attended the online streaming.
