Field Visit cum Training Programme in Adopted village on 28-07-2021

Training programme & field visit was conducted by ARS, Madhira at Adopted Village (Nakkalagarubu) on 28th of July, 2021, under the guidance of Dr. K. Rukmini Devi, Senior Scientist (Br.) & Head, ARS, Madhira. The main moto of the programme is to impart best management practices in various vanakalam field crop’s at present rainy situations. In this programme all the scientists of ARS, Madhira participated and given suggestions to the farmers regarding present conditions. Dr. K. Rukmini Devi, Senior Scientist (Br.) & Head delivered the lecture on “Different management practices in vanakalam crop’s and also given the keynote on the HDPS Cotton, after that Smt. K. Nagaswathi, Scientist Entomology, delivered detailed lecture on “Pest and disease management in vanakalam crop’s. Dr. G.Venugopal, Scientist, Soil science focused on “ Fertilizer management practices & method of application of fertilizers in different vanakalam crop’s. After that Sri. A. Sriram, Scientist (Br) given important note on seed production of pulses to farmers of the village. Lastly Dr. S. Srinivasa Rao, Scientist, agronomy given detailed lecture on “weed management practices in different paddy ecosystems. All the village farmers are participated very actively and interacted with scientists & clarified their doubts, finally vote of thanks proposed by Dr. S. Srinivasa Rao.
