PRE MONSOON INTERACTIVE DIGITAL AUDIO CONFERENCE AT RARS, WARANGAL

Regional Agricultural Research Station, Warangal organized a Pre monsoon interactive Digital Audio Conference in Collaboration with Reliance Foundation under Covid-19 Response Digital Programme Support involving 57 farmers from 9 mandals of Warangal (Rural and Urban), Jayashankar Bhupalpalle districts, on 15-05-2020 at RARS, Warangal. Dr. P. Jagan Mohan Rao, Associate Director of Research, RARS, Warangal addressed the farmers and gave message on Covid-19 preventive measures to be taken especially during Agricultural operations and marketing. Apart from these, farmers’ queries on availability of seed of different crops, availability of farm implements like drum seeders, fine rice varieties vis-à-vis bold grain varieties, organic farming, etc., were addressed. Associate Director of Research, then, gave key message on growing of green manure crops before paddy. Later Dr. Ch. Ramulu, Scientist (Soil Science), briefed about the importance of soil analysis and soil sample collection procedures for the above purpose. Dr. S. Malathi, Principal Scientist (Rice Entomology) gave message on summer plant protection measures and available rice varieties for ensuing vanakalam season. Sri. G. Ramesh, Manager, Reliance Foundation (Warangal region) coordinated the meeting.
