RARS & KVK, Palem jointly organized a training Programme on "Soil Test Based Fertilizer Recommendations in Paddy and Groundnut on 26-02-2021

Regional Agricultural Research Station and Krishi Vigyana Kendra, Palem jointly organized a training Programme on "Soil Test Based Fertilizer Recommendations in Paddy and Groundnut" under RKVY 2020-21 at Seminar hall of RARS, Palem on 26.02.2021. The programme was chaired by Dr. Ch. Domadar Raju (ADR) addressed the farmers about the importance of soil fertility, balanced fertilization in enhancing crop yields and sustaining soil fertility through soil test based nutrient management. Dr. Sujatha (PS-oilseeds) briefed about the oilseeds crops suitable for cultivation in Nagarkurnool District. Dr. T. Prabhakhar Reddy (PC, KVK, Palem) enlightened the farmers about soil test based fertilizer recommendations and explained the benefits of soil health cards. Dr. D. Vijaya Lakshmi, Scientist (Soil Science), RARS, Palem, has explained soil sampling procedure and interpretation of results. In this programme Scientists of RARS & KVK, Palem i.e. Dr.G.Sheshu, Scientist (Plant Breeding), Dr.Jhansi Rani, Scientist (Plant Breeding), Mr.M.Parimala Kumar, Scientist (Agro.), Dr.K.Sridhar, Scientist (Agro.), Sri.M. Rajashekhar, SMS (Plant Protection), Mr.S.Ramesh, Scientist (Ento.), Mr.B.Rajashekhar, SMS (Extension) were participated and highlighted the importance of IPM and ICM practices in Paddy, Groundnut and Millets. A total of 42 ST farmers were participated.
