Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) at APT, Kampasagar on 31-10-2019

Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was celebrated on the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel 144th birth anniversary at Agricultural Polytechnic, Kampasagar on 31.10.2019. Dr. K. Sumalini, Vice-Principal, APT, Kampasagar, Mrs. G. Swathi, Assistant Professor (Horti), M. Shekar Reddy, Physical Director, Diploma students and contract labour have participated in the meeting. The meeting was started with offering floral tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Students gave speech on greatness of Sardar Patel. Dr. K. Sumalini gave speech that Sardar Patel served as first Deputy prime minister and home minister of India and a successful barrister. Also told how patel led the task of integrating princely states into the union of India after Independence in 1947, earning him the sobriquet Iron Man of India and he is also called as Unifier of India. The statue of Unity, the world’s tallest statue was dedicated to him in 2018. The meeting ended with a pledge on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas and programme was ended with group photo.
