Organized and conducted Rythu Sadassu cum Agricultural Exhibition by RAWE Programme 2020-21 batch Students at KVK, Kampasagar on 23-01-2021

As per the instructions of University, the RAWEP-2020-21 batch students studying final year B.Sc (Ag), College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, Agricultural College, Aswaraopet, Jagityal, Palem and Warangal attached to KVK, Kampasagar. As a part of RAWE Programme students conducted Rythu Sadassu cum Agricultural Exhibition at KVK, Kampasagar on 23.01.2021. Shri. E. Ram Chandra Naik, District Rythu Samanvaya Samithi President, Nalgonda as Chief Guest and Dr. M. Shankaraiah, Programme Coordinator, KVK inaugurated the Exhibition stall and viewed the models and exhibits displayed by the students. Students displayed and explained the concepts, themes in brief on formation of Alleyways, Drum Seeder Technology and Machine Transplanting in Rice, Integrated Farming System (IFS), Integrated Pest Management in cotton, vegetables cultivation under Pandal system, types of Mulching, locally made sticky traps and light traps for control of sucking pests and other lepidopteron pests, protective clothing while spraying, water conservation methods and importance of millets etc. S. Pallavi, SMS (Extension) welcomed the guests on to the Dias and requested to participate followed by lightening of lamp and University song. Later explained the objective of RAWE Programme, briefed the activities done by the students, explained the importance of RAWE Programme and Rythu Sadassu cum Agricultural Exhibition organized by RAWEP students to the farmers. Dr. M. Shankaraiah, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Kampasagar explained the activities performed by the students in different villages, usefulness of practical study of different crop cultivation aspects at field level and congratulated the students for exhibiting the models suitable to local farmers. Students from different villages and their host farmers shared their experiences and feedback. Farmers appreciated the University for conducting RAWE Programme as it is helpful for the students in building their practical knowledge and building contacts between farmers and KVK, Scientists and other line department officials through different awareness programmes.The Chief Guest of the programme Sri. E. Ram Chandra Naik Garu, District Rythu Samanvaya Samithi President, Nalgonda District visited the Exhibition stalls and interacted with the students about the importance of exhibits and models useful to the farmers and also appreciated the efforts put forth by the RAWEP students. In this programme Shri. G. V. Subba Reddy Garu, Vice President, Coromandel International Limited, Hyderabad, Dr. M. Govardhan, Senior Professor & Head, ARS, Kampasagar, Dr. I. Swarnalatha, Principal. Agricultural Polytechnic College, Kampasagar, Shri. Narsimha Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Gaddipally, Shri. P. Bhaskar Reddy, Associate Vice President, Coromandel International Limited, Hyderabad, Shri. K. Janaiah, Agricultural Marketing committee Chairman, Nidamanoor, Shri. G. Narendar, DAATTC Coordinator, Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri District, Sarpanch of Kampasagar, Babusaipeta, Tripuraram villages and Scientists of KVK Dr. M. Shankar, SMS (Crop Protection), Dr. T. Bharath, SMS (Crop Production), T. Himabindu, SMS (Horticulture), A. Sai Kiran, SMS (Agrometeorology), KVK Staff, RAWEP students (35 No.) and farmers (150 No.) from different villages participated in the Programme. Finally the Rythu Sadassu was concluded by T. Himabindhu, SMS (Horticulture) by vote of thanks followed by National Anthem to everyone involved for the success of the programme.
