Republic Day celebrations at Agricultural College, Sircilla on 26-01-2020

The 71st Republic Day celebrations were held at Agricultural college, Sircilla on 26 January 2020 wherein the students, teaching, non-teaching staff and out sourced personnel participated. On this occasion, the Associate Dean Dr. G. Samuel, hoisted the National flag. The Officer In-charge Student Activities Mr. T. Arunbabu while explaining the significance of the day said that there was no constitution for our country soon after achievement of Independence on 15 August 1947. Under the chairmanship of the father of Indian Constitution Dr. B. R. Ambedkar prepared draft of Constitution and after thorough deliberations prepared the permanent Constitution for the Independent India and has been came into existence on this auspicious day. The Associate Dean in his address said that the fundamental rules for the citizens of the country were included in the constitution as a topmost priority which give safety and protection to people leading to comfortable living. He stressed more on the students to read the constitution, understand its significance for their lives and inculcate the habit of restricting themselves within the purview of the constitution and amendments made from time to time. He also requested the students and staff to make use of the constitution given by a great leader and utilize it for improving the academic standards in our education system. Later sports and games were conducted to students and staff and prizes given to winners indifferent events. Finally the programme was concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by OISA
