Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at Agricultural College, Sircilla, on 23-01-2021

The 125th Birth anniversary of Sri. Subhash Chandra Bose, one of the pioneer of Indian independence, is celebrated as “Parakram Diwas” to honour his boundless courage and valour at Agricultural College, Sircilla, Rajanna Sircilla District. The officer in-charge of Student Activities, Mr. T. Arunbabu briefed about the patriotism of Sri. Subhash Chandra Bose and the establishment of “All India forward bloc” and “Indian National Army” (Azad Hind) - call for the full and immediate independence of India from British rule. Later the NSS officer and programme coordinator Dr. K. Rajesh shared his views on Parakram Diwas and the slogans “Give me the blood and I shall give you freedom”; and “Delhi chalo” which made the people of India to actively participate in the Independence movement. The Professor & Head of the Dept. of Agronomy Dr. K. P. Vani expressed that the courage and commitment shown by Netaji during the freedom struggle had mobilised fellow Indians to fight against the British rule in India. The Associate Dean Dr. T. Uma Maheswari madam has a shared few slogans like “life loses half its interest of there is no struggle-If there are no risks taken” “Freedom fighters are true sons of mother India” given by Subhash Chandra bose and she stated that he inspired Youth to act with fortitude in face of adversity infuse in them a spirit of patriotic favour. Mr. Prashanth and Ratnanjali, students from II year B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture also shared their views on the occasion. All the students including 60 from II year B. Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, teaching and non-teaching staff remembered his great works and concluded by paying floral tributes to him. The I year students (37 no’s) also attended the programme through online.
