Social Entrepreneurship, Swachhata and Rural Engagement online workshop conducted by Ministry of Education MGNCRE on 21st October, 2020 at Agricultural College, Jagtial

A two hours online workshop on Social Entrepreneurship, Swachhata and Rural Engagement was scheduled on 21st October at 2.00 PM by MGNCRE Ministry of Education , Government of India. Dr. C. Narendra Reddy, Associate Dean, NSS Programme Officers Dr. Ch. Aruna Kumari, Dr. R. Sai Kumar, Mr. A. Umarajashekhar and NSS volunteers have participated in the workshop. The workshop was conducted by Dr. T. Sandhya, Project Co-ordinator of MGNCRE. She dealt about the problems of the rural villages, sanitization, drought, waste management, water conservation and health issues etc. She emphasized on reduction of waste production and effective utilization of the dry and the wet waste generated from hostels and fields for compost production through vermicompost preparation. Further, prevention of the leakages of water and watershed management practices are prerequisites for water conservation so as to overcome the problems of the drought. In the rural villages the NSS volunteers were asked to bring about awareness on waste management and water conservation. The NSS volunteers are instructed to present their ideas in the form of poster presentations and participate in the National level competitions being organized by MGNCRE.
