Three days Skill Development Training Programme on Value addition in fisheries at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli, Mancherial from 10-02-2020 to 12-02-2020

KVK Bellampalli, Mancherial district has organized 3-days Skill Development Training Programme from 10th to 12th February, 2020 on Value addition in fisheries sponsored by National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB), Hyderabad to the women beneficiaries of Mancherial, Kumrum Bheem Asifabad districts for Self employment to women in rural area. The programme was inaugurated by Smt. Bharathi Hollikeri, District Collector, Mancherial and Sri. Durgam Chinnaiah, MLA Bellampalli constituency with the release of the pamphlet on “Value addition in fisheries”. Introductory speech on value addition in fisheries was given by the Dr. M. Rajeshwar Naik, Programme Coordinator, KVK Bellampalli. Sri. Durgam Chinnaiah MLA Bellampalli constituency addressed the gathering about the Govt. schemes and subsidies in respect of fish farming. Smt. Bharathi Hollikeri, District Collector quoted that, there were many opportunities to be as an entrepreneur and can yield good returns by making it as business model and Rural Youth can take it as a career opportunity because there is increasing demand on the value added products of fish and prawn. Aspirants can go for entrepreneurship or self-employed on their own in fisheries-related business. For this programme, district officials, KVK staff, women participants was attended. As a part of three days skill development training programme, on the second day demonstration was conducted on preparation of fish pickle, Prawn pickle, fish fillets and fish cutlet with 50 number of women participants. For preparation of 1 kg of fish pickle the following ingredients required: 1kg Spine less fish cut into small pieces, 400ml of Ginger oil, 10 g Curry leaves, 60 g Green Chili, 120 g Ginger paste, 120 g Garlic paste, 10g Mustard, 50g Chili powder, 60g Salt, 5g Turmeric powder, 2.5g Pepper, 300ml Vinegar, 10g Garam masala.
