Two day Regional workshop on Training Need Assessment of Client States at EEI, Hyderabad from 21-22 January 2020

A 2 day regional workshop on Training Need Assessment of Client States was held at EEI, Hyderabad on 21st and 22nd January, 2020. Delegates from Southern Indian States such as Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep pertaining to Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture, Fisheries, Sericulture, Forestry and faculty of Extension, PJTSAU took part in the programme. The main purpose of the workshop is to assess the training needs of development sectors of different states through brain storming and group discussion techniques for finalization of Annual Training Calendar of EEI for the year 2020-21. Participants actively took part in the sessions and presented the training areas of their respective sectors. Guest lectures on "Strengthening of SAMETis: Issues and Challenges" and a special lecture on "Capacity Building for Extension Professionals in Present Scenario" were delivered by eminent speakers Dr. B. D. Tripathi, Former Director (HRD), MANAGE and Dr. S. Venku Reddy, President & Executive Director, PRDIS, Hyderabad respectively. The programme came to an end with certificate distribution for the delegates. The programme was graced by the valuable contributions from Dr. V. Sudha Rani, Director, EEi, Dr. I. Sreenivasa Rao, Dr. P. Vijaya Lakhsmi, Dr. R. Vasantha and Dr. S. Chandra Shekar, Professors, EEi, Hyderabad.
