5th University Foundation Day Celebrations-2019 at Agricultural College, Palem
The 5th University Foundation Day was celebrated at Agricultural College, Palem on 03-09-2019 in a befitting way. All the teaching, non teaching staff and students of B.Sc. (Hons.) Agril. have participated in the programme. The programme started with paying floral tributes to Prof. Jayashankar by Associate Dean, staff and students, followed by University song.
Dr. K. Charan Teja, Asst. Professor & OISA briefed the gathering about University Foundation Day. Later, Prof. K. Vijaya Lakshmi addressed the gathering about the importance of the day. She discussed in detail about the history of university formation and achievements of the university. Later the Associate Dean, Dr. P. Raghu Rami Reddy along with the Prof. K. Vijaya Lakshmi and Prof. R. Susheela distributed the prizes to winners and runners of sports and literary competitions that were conducted to both staff and students on the occasion of 5th University Foundation Day. Award winners of the literary competitions expressed their views on topic assigned to them.
Later Associate Dean, Dr. P. Raghu Rami Reddy delivered his address on the auspicious occasion. In his address he mentioned briefly about the history of University and the significant achievements made by the university in the shortest span. He also briefed about the infrastructural facilities provided to the students by the university. He advised the students to study well and perform better in the exams and bring good name to the college as well as university. Finally, Er. J. Veeranna, Assistant Professor thanked all the members for participating in the programme. The programme ended up with distribution of refreshments to the students.
