Veterinary Camp and Parthenium eradication in government school premises at Gangadevipally, Geesukonda mandal, Warangal (R)

NSS special camp being conducted by Agricultural college, Warangal was organized in coordination with Department of Animal Husbandry and Pharma companies like Virbhav healthcare, Keplar, Vetoquinol, Verbac. Free veterinary camp was conducted at veterinary hospital, Gangaevipally, Geesugonda mandal. Dr. G. Venkanna, VAS, Kammalapally along with his technical staff attended the event and interacted with the NSS volunteers. Importance of integration of Agriculture and veterinary sectors for farmers’ welfare was highlighted. Pregnancy diagnosis, Artificial insemination for buffaloes, de-worming for sheep and goats were attempted. In total, 221 animals were treated and supplied with free medicine during this camp. NSS volunteers mobilised the farmers with their animals to the camp and involved in medicine distribution etc. later, they have removed parthenium weeds near veterinary hospital and government school making the total activity eventful and memorable.
