Virtual Inauguration of Demonstration Unit of J Farm & Product Training Center on 23-07-2022 at University Auditorium, PJTSAU, Rajendranagar

PJTSAU 23rd July, 2022: The professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University(PJTSAU) and Tractors and Farm Equipment Ltd (TAFE) joint initiative of J Farm and product training centre has been inagurated by the TAFE Chairman and Managing Director Ms. Mallika Srinivasan, along with the APC & Secretary Agriculture & Cooperation, Govt. of Telangana, M. Raghunandan Rao, and Vice Chancellor, PJTSAU Dr. V Praveenrao, here on saturday, at the premises of the Agricultural Research Institute, in Rajendranagar. Initially it was inaugurated virtually from the university auditorium and later chief guest & VC APC has been inaugurated the center through physical mode. On this occasion a meeting was held at the university auditorium, and Ms. Mallika Srinivasan has delivered chief guest address. While speaking at the event she says that, this J Farm product center will promote the technology driven agriculture in small farm holdings and ensure the enhancing the productivity. This center may give thrust for precision farming in major crops like rice, wheat, maize, chillies, vegetable crops. CMD has anounced that, the custom hiring center will be launched for extending of farm equipment services to the farmers, and trained unemployed youth & agricultural engineering graduates in maintaining and servising the farm equipment she added. She appreciated the efforts of the Vice Chancellor Praveenrao for bringing industry university collaborations for serving the farmers at large. M.Raghunandan Rao, has said that, there is a need to encourage the data driven agriculture for making the farming is more remunerative to the farmers, and also maintained the diginity & pride of the farmers. While speaking at the programme Dr Praveen Rao has stated that, the future of the agriculture will be the technology driven and information driven farming, and need to adapt technological advancements to face the future challenges in this sector. He further suggested the farmers to adopt new management practices for achieving better yields & results. During this meeting A coffee table book published by the PJTSAU activities has been released by the guests.
