Webinar on Nutrient and Pest Management in Rice at Regional Agricultural Research Station, Warangal on 17-09-2020

Regional Agricultural Research Station, Warangal organized a webinar on Nutrient and pest management in Rice (varilo samagra poshaka yajamanyam mariyu melukuvalu) in collaboration with Coromandel International Limited on 17-092020 through virtual mode for the benefit of farming community under the present Covide-19 situations in Telangana and Andhra pradesh. Dr. P. Jagan Mohan Rao, Associate Director of Research, RARS, Warangal gave the introducing remarks and appraised the farmers about the present situation of rice crop and nutrient management options available. Dr. S. Malathi, Principal Scientist (Entomology), RARS, Warangal presented the pest management in rice crop. In this programme, Sri. P. Bhaskar Reddy, Associate Vice-President, AP & Telangana, Sri. N. Vijayanarayana Reddy, Zonal Manager (Marketing), Sri. J. Sajan kumar, Zonal Manager (Sales) and Sri. S. Sai Prasad, Divisional Agronomist participated in the meeting. Subsequent to presentations, farmer’s queries on remedial measures for field problems were answered. About 250 farmers from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh attended the online streaming.
