Training Programme on “Wild boar Management in different Crops” on 16-01-2021 at Bidrelli, Mudhole by DAATTC, Mudhole

DAATTC, Mudhole organized off campus training program on “Wild boar Management in different crops” to the farmers of Bidrelli on 16-01-2021. Dr. K. Vijay Kumar, Scientist & Head, Agricultural Research Station, Mudhole addressed the farmers about different methods to control wild boar damage in fields like cultivating Boarder crops with Safflower, Castor, Ginger, Turmeric. This helps to restrict the wild boars entry into main field. He also suggested the farmers constricting the Iron fence around field and also bio fences out of the Thorny twigs. Dr. M. Sampath Kumar, Scientist (TOT), DAATTC, Mudhole. Interacted with the farmers to spray rotten egg solution around fields and use of Bio – acustic device will manage the wild boar problem. Farmers expressed that they adopted Saree – fencing around the fields to control wild boar entry. For this programme Sri. Bhaskar (MAO), Sri. Ameer (MAEO) along with the public representatives and 30 No. of farmers were participated.
