World Soil Day at Jagtial on 05-12-2019

Agricultural College and Regional Agricultural Research Station, Jagtial combinedly organized World Soil Day-2019 in collaboration with Kribhco Fertilizers at Porandla Village of Jagtial Mandal on December 5th, 2019 with the theme of Stop Soil Erosion- Save our Future. In this programme Chief Guest Dr. K. B. Suneetha Devi, Associate Dean, Agricultural College, Jagtial stressed about soil conservation and practices to be followed for soil health management. Dr. K. Chandrashaker, Assistant Professor explained about the importance of world soil day. Dr. A Krishna Chaitanya, Assistant Professor explained about crop residue management. Dr. B. Raju, Scientist explained the process of soil sample collectin and interpretation of soil health card. Dr. P. Ravi, Scientist explained about nutrient management in paddy and maize, which are the major crops of Porandla village. Sri. A. Umarajasekhar, Assistant Professor explained about the usage of biofertilizers. Sri Nagaraju, District Manager and Sri. Lakshminarayana, Kribhco explained about compost and liquid biofertilizers of Kribhco company. In this programme approximately 50 farmers and 100 school children of ZP High school were participated. After the programme we distributed liquid biofertilizers to the farmers. At the end a rally was conducted by school children to aware about soil day in the village.
